Co-President, Director of Operations
The president of Code4Community is responsible for managing the club in both the short term and the long term. In the short term they should manage or at least be aware of all major initiatives within the club to ensure everything is running smoothly. In the long term they are responsible for making sure all high-level leadership roles are filled by qualified candidates, ensuring that C4C continues to be a welcoming community and that the product development is sustainable and valuable both to the partners and the developers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all C4C projects, events and other initiatives to provide support where needed
- Run weekly all-hands meetings to ensure team leads are up-to-date on changes within the club
- Find and engage prospective partners for the club to ensure the long term sustainability of C4C
- Represent and promote C4C throughout Khoury College and the wider university
- Listen to feedback and propose changes as deemed necessary
- Monitor the C4C email account and alert the relevant people when necessary
Qualifications
- Occupied a leadership position within C4C for at least 1 semester
- Strong understanding of the product development cycle
- Organized and able to manage a large group of people
- Committed to the club and able to put in significant amounts of time every week
- Strong and thoughtful communicator
Co-President, Director of Engineering
The director of engineering is responsible for managing the technical side of C4C. They should have a say in or be aware of all major technical decisions made by any of the teams and should always keep the long term viability of the club in mind.
Responsibilities
- Support individual teams with high level technical decisions and more complicated code
Qualifications
- Experience designing web applications, from ideation to a fully-deployed application
- Occupied a leadership position within C4C for at least 1 semester
- (Preferred) Experience with leading a team of developers
Director of Product
The Director of Product is responsible for creating new efficiencies for the product lifecycle and working with the other Product Managers to facilitate a smooth process from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Find new areas for the product development process can improve
- Support the PMs and work on onboarding new ones through challenges in the development process.
- Read and edit documentation created by the PMs to ensure clarity.
- Support other team members including the President and Director of Engineering
Qualifications
- Experience working as a product manager in a club or on co-op
- Occupied a leadership position within C4C for at least 1 semester
- Knowledge of Agile
- Strong communicator and organized
Director of Design
At Code4Community, we are on a mission to create free, beautiful, and easy to use software for non-profits in the Boston area. C4C is searching for an experienced Designer looking to oversee the design work for the club as a whole and to manage the product designers for the non-profits we aim to help.
Responsibilities
- Lead the product designers for each team and make sure everything is on the right track
- Work with the Brand Designer and and Director of Marketing to create beautiful graphics for the club
Qualifications
- 2+ year of experience on designing and scaling digital products
- Experience with Figma, sketch, or other design tools. We use Figma here
- A keen eye for graphic and typographic design
- A beautiful portfolio
- A passion for helping non-profit organizations
Director of Recruitment
The director of recruitment is primarily responsible for overseeing the recruitment process. Besides that, they should focus on membership retention by helping out at events and making people feel welcome.
Responsibilities
- The recruitment cycle (advertising, applications, interviews, accepting & rejecting applicants)
- Overall recruitment philosophy
- Organizing the Slack workspace
- Attend all recruiting events
- Internally distribute marketing materials
- Work with the director of marketing to organize events
Qualifications
- Experience with Slack and Mailchimp
- Open minded and a good communicator
- Comfortable talking to people
- Friendly and engaging
Director of Marketing
The director of marketing is responsible for our social media channels, organizing events and our branding. Working together with the director of design, the director of branding and the director of recruitment they should ensure a positive and cohesive outward image of C4C.
Responsibilities
- Ensure there is frequent activity on all our social media channels
- Organize events with companies and other clubs
- Assist others with outward facing communication
Qualifications
- Experience with Slack and Mailchimp
- Committed and hard working
- Strong leadership skills
- Interest in marketing
Director of Events
The Director of PR & Communications is responsible for being a bridge between the organization and the Khoury College, as well as other Northeastern student organizations, and companies in the technology or design industry. They are also in charge of the club's events schedule planning. This includes, but isn't limited to, reaching out to companies & student organizations, planning workshops and events, maintaining current external relationships, and assigning tasks to C4C officers to ensure all events go smoothly and are beneficial to C4C members and audience. They should work closely with the President, the Director of Marketing, the Director of Design, and the Director of Recruitment and Community Engagement to guarantee event planning, advertisement, and attendance.
Responsibilities
- Create semesterly schedule of events with action items for each event
- Reach out to student organizations and companies to set up collaboration events
- Communicate closely with the President to create a diverse event series for C4C members
- Work alongside of the Marketing Director and the Director of Design to engage members and reach more students
- Support the Director of Recruitment and Community Engagement in creating an inclusive and friendly environment for everyone at C4C
Qualifications
- Strong planning and organization skills
- Great communicator, both verbal and written
- Good understanding of Code4Community's mission and culture, as well as its audience (i.e. students interested in the club)
- (Preferred) Experience with event planning and organization as well as managing a large group of people
- (Preferred) Occupied a position at C4C for at least a semester
Director of Finance
The director of finance, also known by the name of treasurer, is responsible for managing the clubs finances. This includes making sure we're in compliance with regulations set out by Northeastern and Khoury, authorizing all club expenditures and keeping track of our balance throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Creating a budget at the start of the year
- Authorizing all purchases
- Refunding team members using club accounts
- Ensuring we are compliant with Northeastern and Khoury policy by submitting required documents on time
Qualifications
- Good organizational skills
- (Preferred) Previous experience as a treasurer
